Child portraits in Horniman Gardens – London child photographer

On a glorious summer’s day I photographed very photogenic sisters L & L in the beautiful Horniman Museum Gardens after doing some photographs for the Horniman Museum of the new Nature Base section.
We were also fortunate enough to use the conservatory of the museum, which was rescued from the Coombe Cliffe House, Croydon home of Frederick Horniman (founder of the museum) and beautifully restored where it had been first built in 1894.
Thank you H for all your help organising this.
The girls were fantastic & so natural & we managed to capture some great movement sequences. H & N, so pleased you love the photographs of your girls, we got there in the end (after all the rain!)
I’m thrilled with them…. fingers crossed for the portrait competition!

Magazine cover shoot in Croydon – London child photographer

I am always on the look out, ‘model scouting’ when out & about for potential new models to photograph.
I bumped into Cristal & her Mum whilst queuing in the bank! I instantly saw model potential in Cristal.
I art directed, styled & photographed this series of photographs for a modelling portfolio for Cristal.
Cristal was a superstar, after a little warming up she was a complete natural & had ‘that’ communication with the camera that is vital.
Thank you Christina (Mum) & Hilary (sister) for all your help ‘assisting’ me & a huge thank you to Frank (Cristal’s father), a very talented tailor who whizzed the beautifully elegant white dress up in no time especially for the shoot…. I posted him the page from Vogue magazine where the dress featured & WOW! beautiful dress made just like that & with such fine detail, thank you Frank.
Cristal, good luck with your modelling venture, you are a natural, believe in yourself. I hope you like your first portfolio! S

Flora art test photographs in my garden

I will be working on some ‘pop art’ style portraits shortly & thought I would experiment techniques on flowers from my garden first!
